Program: Getting to know our namesake - THE WHITE TANK MOUNTAINS Learn about the history, the uses, the indigenous people, and the priceless attractions that the 30,000 acre park to the west of us offers. Waddell historian and native Arizonan, Karen Krause (a member of the White Tank Mountains Conservancy since it began in 2015), authored the official White Tank Mountains Field Guide, a 100 page reference guide to the park. She will share her expertise with us with a lecture, slides, and more

Program: A PIONEER CHRISTMAS - Our very own Ruth Van Epps will present a one woman play where she re-enacts memories from her childhood, where she was preparing for Christmas.
Note: After this program, Ruth Van Epps was awarded the NSDAR "Excellence in Historic Preservation" medal and certificate.

Program: Soldiers Best Friend - Join us as we celebrate our veterans and learn all about the "Soldier's Best Friend" program. Yes, there will be dogs! :-) And that's not all. We'll make this program all about giving back to veterans, as we do our part to provide them with much needed items.

Program: WOMEN, QUILTS AND THE CULT OF DOMESTICITY IN THE 19TH CENTURY - White Tank Mountain's very own Lenna DeMarco (nationally recognized quilt historian) is back with another wildly popular presentation. This program explores the red and green applique quilts and how they gave women a voice during this era of The Cult of Domesticity whose four pillars were Purity, Piety, Domesticity and Submissiveness.
Note: At this program we presented our very own Lenna DeMarco with t he American History Medal and Certificate for er fantastic work in preserving and teaching about America's textile history.
